Founded as Mita Yonezo Shoten.

1945

The factory was destroyed by fire during the war, but was reopened in October.

1950

Factory received excellence award by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Sanitation.

1952

Company was established.

1962

Began production of additive-free pure juice as a health food.

1970

Company name changed from Mita Yonezo Shoten Company to Mita Beverage Company.

1973

Introduced the Pure Pack system from the U.S. for one-way containers. Developed Japan's first paper containers for commercial-use concoction juice and syrup.

1976

Built and relocated Hino Plant for business expansion.

1981

Introduction of aluminum standing pouch manufacturing system.

1982

Introduced stick packaging system.

1983

Retort(i.e. sealed-plastic) pouch system introduced.
Began production of prepared foods.

1987

Introduced aseptic pack system.

1988

Constructed a new plant in Hachioji City and moved to a new location.

1990

Expanded Hachioji Plant No. 2.

1993

Expanded pure pack system.

1994

Added aseptic filling rooms and UHT sterilization lines.

1995

Expansion of coffee, tea, and oolong tea concentrate facilities.

1996

Began production of the world's first 100% Italian blood oranges storable at room temperature.

1997

Started sales of the industry's first hot base "Kanchuubai".

1998

Registered Mita Beverage's new brand "SUNFIELD" as a trademark.

1999

Installed new PET & bottle manufacturing facilities.
75th anniversary of the company's founding.

2000

Relocated head office building due to business expansion.
Hachioji factory office is also relocated.

2003

Expansion of filling machines for paper containers.

2004

Renewed Sunfield brand in celebration of its 80th anniversary.

2006

Established an affiliated company, Sunfield Asia, in Hong Kong.

2006

Obtained ISO9001 certification. (Headquarters and Hachioji Plant)

2008

Obtained ISO9001 certification. (Narahara Warehouse)

2010

Renewed bottle filling machine.

2013

Obtained ISO22000 certification.

2016

Launched the "Up to YOU" series, a new category with unlimited possibilities.

2018

Obtained FSSC22000 certification.
